Badcock Home Furniture - Poor quality, Poor customer service
October 2014 i bought two bedroom suits. I'd describe the purchase as mid grade quality bedroom suits.
Not the most expensive and not the cheapest. I also purchased the extended service agreement for 3 years for $116.80. I was told that it covered any damage including stains on the wood, scratches, etc. A week ago my daughters bed split where the wooden rail/frame comes together with the headboard.
It has now broken completely in two. I contacted the store in Danville, Virginia and was given the number for the extended warranty claim. I called and the lady immediately said it would not be covered. Then in her ignorance informed me that the invoice said it was a $40 bed.
Which she said with amazement. I corrected her that no the bed did not cose $40. Regardless she said it would not be covered. I questioned what i bought the extended warranty stating what i was told was covered and she laughed saying i'd have bought it too if i were told that.
So in one work, unprofessional.
My child is a 100 pound, 12 year old girl. There is no reason this bed should have broken at any point, but in less than 1.5 years is more than disappointing. I can honestly say that i will never do business with Badcock again. I can say that what you are told in the store is completely inaccurate and their furniture is not worth taking out of the store.
The service agreement is a joke. Unfortunately, the joke was on me as the consumer.
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Location: Danville, Virginia
